what. what. when did this happen. what comic is this. help my brain is on fire.

It happened in the reboot Batman #1. Basically he was wearing a holographic mask (which debuted in The Black Mirror, Snyder’s first Batman story) that made him look like the Joker. Batman sent him into Arkham undercover so he could gather evidence that one of the guards was on the take. By the time the issue opens, Dick’s been in there a day, the guard has opened all the cell doors so the inmates can hold off Batman, and they end up fighting side by side. It was pretty awesome.

oh and i could be mistaken but i THINK that after dick got out, bruce said something about hoping he’d had a nice break.

basically bruce had him dress up as a joker to give dick a break.
