If you’ve never heard of her, it’s no surprise, as she doesn’t have many film credits to her name. Just one, actually: ‘Turquoise Rose.’ If you can get a hold of that movie, I highly recommend watching it, it’s a wonderful film, and Johnson is just fantastic. And something like this would be a fantastic opportunity for an unknown actress, so there’s that.

I almost put Naveen Andrews down for Amon, but ultimately decided he fit better with the smooth-talking Tarrlok. Which, of course, left me floundering as to who Amon could be. This one took me a while, sheesh.

Yeoh plays a very good badass middle-aged lady (you probably know her from ‘Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon’), and okay, maybe this is typecasting, but it’s my fancasting so I do what I want.

Years ago, on the Avatar production, we all became pretty obsessed with Futa, the seemingly-bipedal red panda who had captured the adoration of the Japanese public. I recently remembered that Futa was the original inspiration for our red panda-ferret hybrid character Pabu. Unlike the rest of his derpy species (and Pabu, who is also fairly derpy), Futa always looked businesslike and no-nonsense standing on his hind legs all the time, like he was looking for other red pandas to boss around. “Hey! You there! Stop being a derp. Back to work.” I always thought he needed a tie.
That awkward moment where I heard Futa and my mind went to an inappropriate place.
After a minor heart attack, which was solved by Lochi, I finally finished coloring this thingy. (Will be tweaking it for printing but HERE YOU GO INTERNET~!)
